Huaneng Power International (SHA:600011, HKG:0902) issued mid-term bonds worth 3 billion yuan, the company's seventh tranche for the year, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Thursday.
The power company's Shanghai shares rose 3% during Friday's morning trade.
The bonds have an interest rate of 1.55% and a term of three years.
Proceeds from the issuance will be used to pay debt.
China Construction Bank (HKG:0939, SHA:601939), Bank of Jiangsu (SHA:600919) and Agricultural Bank of China (HKG:1288, SHA:601288) acted as the lead underwriters.
