Huadian Power International (SHA:600027, HKG:1071) generated 107.8 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of power in the first half of 2026, down 11% from a year prior.
On-grid electricity sales also fell 11% to 101 million MWh, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The lower output and sales were attributed mainly to the crowding out of the power generation space of existing units, as well as a drop in the utilization hours of thermal power units.
Average tariff of on-grid electricity sold was roughly 517.70 yuan per MWh in the first half, up 0.2% year over year.
