Hormel Foods Appoints John Ghingo as Chief Executive Officer

Hormel Foods (HRL) said Tuesday its board named John Ghingo as chief executive officer, effective Oct. 26.

The executive will take over the position from interim CEO Jeff Ettinger at the end of the fiscal year, and Ettinger will remain in his current post until Oct. 25 to assist with the transition and will continue serving on the board, the company said.

Ghingo previously managed the company's retail division starting in 2024 before becoming president and a director in 2025, Hormel Foods said.
