Horizon Oil (ASX:HZN) achieved first gas from its Sinphuhorm Pad D Facility Project in Thailand on Aug. 11, about 50 days ahead of schedule, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The facility completed a 72-hour performance test, with PH-14 producing 25 million to 30 million standard cubic feet of gas per day before commencing normal operations, per the filing.
Pad D is expected to improve access to under-drained northern areas, support production from multiple wells, and boost overall field productivity and domestic gas supply, the filing said.
The company holds an effective 7.5% stake in the Sinphuhorm gas and condensate field, the filing added.
The company's shares rose 2% in recent Wednesday trade.
