Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HKG:0045) reported higher second-quarter revenue per available room (RevPAR) across its flagship Peninsula Hotels in Greater China, Europe and the U.S.
RevPAR at Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing rose 27% year over year to HK$3,108 from HK$2,448, according to a Wednesday bourse filing.
RevPAR increased 10% in Europe to HK$8,606 and 14% in the U.S. to HK$6,189. However, RevPAR at Peninsula hotels in Tokyo, Bangkok and Manila declined 9% to HK$2,569.
Across its investment properties, residential occupancy edged up to 98% from 97% a year earlier, while retail arcade occupancy grew to 90% from 88% and office occupancy fell to 63% from 81%.
