Hong Kong stocks closed higher Thursday as a rebound in global bond markets eased investor concerns over rising yields.
Technology shares also advanced, helping lift the broader market.
The Hang Seng Index gained 203.42 points, or 0.8%, to close at 25,698.49, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 76.63 points, or 0.9%, to 8,547.84.
Global bond markets recovered after the U.S. Treasury announced its plans to double buyback volumes for longer-dated debt, helping ease pressure on Treasury yields and support broader risk sentiment.
Meanwhile, oil prices increased further as Middle East tensions continued to raise concerns over supply disruptions.
Among individual stocks, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group (HKG:1093) jumped nearly 9% after reporting a 139% increase in first-half attributable profit to 6.09 billion yuan.
Bank of East Asia (HKG:0023) rose 6% after posting first-half attributable net profit of HK$2.42 billion, largely unchanged from a year earlier.
