Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Monday as renewed fighting between the U.S. and Iran pushed oil prices higher.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.6%, or 164.16 points, to open at 25,420.63, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 0.6%, or 46.31 points, to open at 8,444.08.
Brent crude rose 1.4% to $89.38 a barrel after U.S. forces struck Iranian launchers.
Meanwhile, markets raised the probability of a September Federal Reserve rate hike to 57% following Chair Kevin Warsh's comments on inflation.
