Investors will be closely watching the meeting between the two geopolitical leaders, scheduled for Thursday in Washington, on matters including technology, trade, and tensions in the Middle East.
In the lead-up to the main event, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng over the weekend discussed holding a "U.S.-China AI Dialogue," with the U.S. suggesting the two nations adopt a notification-style setup to warn each other about AI incidents.
