The Hang Seng Index slipped 32.20 points to 24,181.52, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index edged down 0.81 points to 8,065.16.
Wall Street ended lower overnight, with technology stocks leading declines as investors reacted to the latest escalation in the Middle East.
The Nasdaq posted the steepest losses, followed by the S&P 500, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was supported by gains in energy shares.
Investors also looked ahead to a busy week of economic data and testimony from U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
