Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Tuesday ahead of key central bank meetings and major U.S. technology earnings.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.3%, or 64.77 points, to 25,271.95, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.4%, or 31.61 points, to 8,396.99.
Investors are awaiting the Federal Reserve's policy decision on Wednesday. The U.S. central bank is widely expected to keep interest rates unchanged, though markets still see a risk of a hike.
The Bank of England and the Bank of Japan are also due to announce policy decisions later this week.
Earnings from Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Amazon and Apple are also in focus as investors look for fresh signs that heavy artificial intelligence spending is translating into stronger growth.
