Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as easing oil prices supported investor sentiment ahead of a busy week for central banks and corporate earnings.
The Hang Seng Index added 30.54 points to 24,993.77, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.2%, or 13.39 points, to 8,284.45.
Asian markets advanced after Brent crude fell more than 5% overnight on signs of easing tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
Investors are looking ahead to policy decisions from the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan for fresh clues on the interest rate outlook.
They are also awaiting earnings from Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Amazon and Apple for further signals on artificial intelligence spending and corporate growth.
