Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Wednesday as investors looked ahead to the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy decision.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.7%, or 176.31 points, to 25,487.16, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.8%, or 63.78 points, to 8,500.03.
The U.S. Federal Reserve is widely expected to keep interest rates unchanged when it concludes its two-day meeting, though Fed funds futures imply a 32% chance of a rate hike.
Lower oil prices also helped ease inflation concerns after Washington suspended airstrikes on Iran, with Brent crude falling 5%.
