Hong Kong and Laos agreed to cooperate in the gold market by establishing a corridor to facilitate gold flows, according to a Monday press release.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen collaboration in the gold market, including improving access for Lao gold producers to Hong Kong's refining network and encouraging the use of internationally recognized gold bars for trading in Hong Kong.
The agreement also covers talent development and fintech collaboration, including tokenization solutions, the release said.
