HMM (KRX:011200) said that it plans to invest 29 trillion won through 2030 as part of its mid- to long-term strategy, strengthening its competitiveness by expanding its shipping fleet, port infrastructure, and green initiatives.
The South Korean shipping and logistics company said that it will increase its container fleet capacity to 1.47 million twenty-foot equivalent units across 166 vessels and its bulk carrier fleet to 13.52 million deadweight tonnage across 110 vessels, according to a Friday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The company also plans to strengthen its sea network, secure terminal infrastructure at key overseas hubs, and achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
