HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (KRX:097230) has concluded a 679 billion won contract to build four container ships for an Oceania shipowner, with the order received on Monday.

The contract represents 34% of the company's latest fiscal year sales of nearly 2 trillion yen, and covers a construction period running from September 2026 to April 2029, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.

Payment will be collected based on construction progress, with a deposit or advance payment required, and the contract amount is subject to change depending on shipbuilding progress.
