Hiwin Technologies' Italian Arm Faces Cyber Attack, Shares Down 6%

Hiwin Technologies Corp (TPE:2049) said its Italian subsidiary, HIWIN S.r.l., detected a cyberattack affecting certain information systems, according to a Tuesday filing to the Taiwan stock exchange.

Based on the preliminary assessment, the company said the incident has had no material impact on its operations.

The company's shares were down nearly 6% in Wednesday's trade.

The cybersecurity response procedures were immediately activated upon detecting the breach, and the company has engaged external experts to assist in the investigation and recovery efforts.

The affected systems are undergoing comprehensive security assessments and will be restored from backup data once their security has been verified, the company said.
