Earnings per share came in at 12.72 rupees from 10.48 rupees a year earlier, the fast-moving consumer goods giant said in a filing to the Indian stock exchanges on Thursday.
The revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 also increased to 161.7 billion Indian rupees from 149.6 billion rupees a year ago.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of 22 rupees per share for the financial year ended March 31 on equity shares of 1 rupee each.
The record date to determine the entitled shareholders for the final dividend has been fixed as June 23rd.
The company's shares were down nearly 4% in recent trade.
