Hi Sun Technology (HKG:0818) will receive $27.5 million from the sale of its stake in the Chinese cloud communications company Cloopen, if the going-private transaction is completed following a shareholder vote scheduled for later this month, according to a Tuesday bourse filing.
The company said it owns a 17.2% stake in Cloopen through its unit, Main Access. Shareholders of Cloopen are expected to vote on the going-private transaction on Sept. 24.
Hi Sun shares were up nearly 2% in Wednesday afternoon trading on the HKEX.
