Automotive equipment manufacturer Hi-Lex (TYO:7279) plans to invest 1.2 billion yen to establish a mass-production system for door module products in Japan after securing its first domestic order, according to a Friday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Hi-Lex will construct an extension to the Kyushu plant of Hi-Lex Act and introduce production equipment required for the mass production of door module products. Large plastic module plates will also be produced in-house, the filing said.
Shares of Hi-Lex fell 1% in recent trade.
