Heron Neutron Medical (TPE:7799) signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan's B dot Medical to assess potential collaboration on expanding its AB-BNCT cancer treatment system into Japan and other Asian markets, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares slid about 4% in Friday's midday trade.
The companies will evaluate opportunities to establish particle therapy centers, integrate their medical technologies and equipment, and cooperate on regulatory approvals and certification in Japan.
The partnership is intended to support the company's international expansion strategy and strengthen business development, it said.
