Hengtong Optic-Electric Forecasts Up to 121% Profit Growth in H1

Hengtong Optic-Electric (SHA:600487) expects attributable net profit in the first half to jump by about 86.9% to 121% year over year to between 3.02 billion yuan and 3.57 billion yuan, according to a Shanghai bourse filing Tuesday.

Net profit a year earlier was 1.61 billion yuan.

The fiber-optic cable manufacturer attributed the growth to the rapid development of artificial intelligence and continued investments in data centers.
