HealthCo Makes Progress on Healthscope Resolution, Receives 100% of Rent; Shares Up 3%

By

HealthCo Healthcare and Wellness REIT (ASX:HCW) made progress towards resolving the Healthscope situation, with 100% of rent received up to and including August and continuity of healthcare services maintained across all hospitals, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the transition of the Mount Private Hospital is on track with the new lease commencing in October, while terms have been agreed with Australian private hospital operators for the remaining 10 hospitals owned by HealthCo and the Unlisted Healthcare and Life Sciences Fund, subject to receiver and Healthscope lender approvals.

Independent valuations reflecting the new lease arrangements indicate no material change to the June net tangible assets per unit of AU$1.35, with HealthCo continuing to work with all relevant stakeholders to resolve the situation in the first half of fiscal 2027, the filing added.

The company's shares rose almost 3% in recent Tuesday trade.
