HD Hyundai (KRX:267250) posted second-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of 1.331 trillion won, up 998.3% from 121.2 billion won a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The South Korean shipbuilder's sales jumped 30.2% year over year to 22.409 trillion won from 17.211 trillion won.
The company said that the reported figures are preliminary and could change.

Fitch Ratings affirmed Sinochem International's (SHA:600500) long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating and senior unsecured rating at A-, with a stable outlook, the ratings firm said Thursday.The new ratings reflected the state-owned firm's parent, Sinochem Holdings Corporation, which was rated with "Low" legal, "Medium" strategic, and "High" operational incentives to support Sinochem.The ratings firm decided to withdraw the ratings due to commercial reasons.
