HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Worker Dies From Panel Factory Accident

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (KRX:329180) reported one death from a serious industrial accident at a panel factory within its Gunsan shipyard, according to a Monday filing with the Korea Exchange.

The accident occurred on Friday, when the worker got caught between a log and a log attachment machine.

The police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are currently investigating the accident, with a partial work suspension order issued on Saturday.

The HD Hyundai (KRX:267250) subsidiary will conduct special safety training and preventative measures for employees following the accident.
