HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Reports Worker Fatality in Boiler Room Incident

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (KRX:329180) has reported a fatal industrial accident at its Hanuri Hall site on Aug. 28, where one employee was found collapsed in the boiler machinery room.

Authorities, including police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, are investigating the cause of death, and related records are being reviewed, according to a bourse filing on Monday.

A partial work suspension order has been issued by the Ulsan Dongbu Branch of the Busan Regional Office of Employment and Labor, affecting all A-frame ladders currently in use at the workplace.

The company has not yet confirmed whether the incident qualifies as a serious industrial accident under safety laws, and expects to provide updates as the investigation proceeds.
