Hanwha Ocean Refutes Media Report, Says No Details Finalized for Southwest Offshore Wind Project

Hanwha Ocean (KRX:042660) clarified on Friday that no specific details had been finalized for the Southwest Offshore wind expansion phase one project, following an Asia Today report on July 10 that the consortium led by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, in which the shipbuilder is a participant, was selected as the preferred bidder.

Details such as the project value have not been finalized at present, the shipbuilder said in a Friday filing with the Korea Exchange.

The company will issue a follow-up disclosure once specific details are determined or within three months.

Shares of Hanwha Ocean fell over 1% at market close.

SJEE Engineering, a subsidiary of Southern Score Builders Berhad (KLSE:SSB8), has secured an order worth 146.5 million ringgit from a local construction company to undertake a subcontract project, according to a Thursday filing with Bursa Malaysia.The company's shares were up nearly 2% in Friday's trade.The subcontract project is for Electrical Package 3 Works for a data center project, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 15, 2028.The project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of the company from the financial year ending June 30, 2027, until the completion of the project.
