Hanwha Ocean (KRX:042660) has secured a 394.3 billion won contract to build two very large crude carriers (VLCCs) for a North American shipping company, with the order booked on July 14.
The deal represents 3.1% of the company's latest annual sales of 12.78 trillion won, based on 2025 consolidated figures, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
Construction is set to run through March 2030, with payments tied to progress milestones and an initial deposit required under the terms.
