Hanwha Lands First Major US Army Contract

Hanwha Aerospace (KRX:012450) said its U.S. subsidiary has secured a contract from the U.S. Army to deliver six prototype K9 Mobile Howitzers under the Mobile Tactical Cannon program, with an option for 12 additional systems.

This is Hanwha Defense USA's first major Army contract and entails the accelerated delivery of the 155mm artillery systems, which are intended to support the Army's modernization and long-range precision-fire objectives, according to a Tuesday statement by the Hanwha (KRX:000880) unit.
