Hanwha Aerospace Reports Fatal Fire at Daejeon Plant, Killing Five and Injuring Two

Hanwha Aerospace (KRX:012450) reported a serious industrial accident at its Daejeon facility on June 1, when a fire of unknown cause broke out during a cleaning operation, resulting in five fatalities and two injuries.

The company notified the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the same day, and authorities have since issued a partial work stoppage order for the affected area, according to a Korean bourse filing on Tuesday.

Police and labor officials are investigating the incident, as the exact cause remains unclear, while Hanwha plans to conduct special safety training across all sites and establish preventive measures.

In a separate disclosure, the company said the production suspension affects approximately 1.32 trillion won in annual sales based on 2025 figures, representing 4.94% of the company's consolidated revenue of 26.70 trillion won for the latest fiscal year.

Hanwha Aerospace has yet to set a resumption date for production, but plans to conduct site-wide special safety training and establish preventive measures before restarting operations.

Meanwhile, Hanwha Aerospace said it is prioritizing treatment and support for the injured while working to prevent any recurrence of such an accident.

St George Mining to Buy ATL's Shareholding in Lithium Star JV in AU$2 Million Share Deal

St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) said it will buy Amperex Technology's (ATL) shareholding in the Lithium Star joint venture in an all-share deal, priced at AU$0.16 per share, a 36% premium to the 30-day volume-weighted average price, as part of the restructure of the joint venture, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The company said under the restructure, it will acquire ATL's 10% shareholding in Lithium Star for total consideration of AU$2 million, satisfied by the issue of 12.5 million St George shares at AU$0.16 per share, subject to shareholder approval at a general meeting set for early July.

Nine Entertainment Completes AU$21 Million Sale of Regional Television Assets

Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings (ASX:NEC) completed the sale of its regional television assets NBN and Nine Darwin for a total cash consideration of AU$20.5 million, converting them from wholly-owned businesses to affiliates to be owned and operated by WIN Network, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.Nine will also realize cash tax benefits through the crystallization of around AU$100 million of tax losses associated with these assets.WIN will broadcast Nine's content across Northern New South Wales and Darwin under a new affiliate agreement, the filing said.
