Hanwa (TYO:8078) said it completed a 627.7 million yen share buyback, repurchasing 324,200 common shares between Sept. 1 and Sept. 11, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
The repurchases were conducted through purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under a 5 billion yen share repurchase program approved on May 12.
The program authorized the repurchase of up to 4 million shares, equivalent to 1.89% of its total issued shares, through Dec. 31.
Following the repurchases, the company will cancel 10.3 million treasury shares on Jan. 29, 2027.
