Hansol Technics' Rights Offering Oversubscribed 20 Times

Hansol Technics (KRX:004710) saw its rights offering for 12.4 million common shares oversubscribed 20 times, according to a Korea bourse filing on Tuesday.

The offering closed on July 20 with total subscriptions reaching nearly 248.5 million shares.

Employee stock purchase plans and existing shareholders subscribed to 11.97 million shares, covering 96.46% of the offering, leaving 439,416 fully taken up by the public offering.

The general public subscription alone attracted bids for 236.6 million shares, equivalent to 53,833% of the available allotment.

Proceeds are expected to be settled on July 22, with the new shares scheduled to begin trading on Aug. 4.

Malaysia Pension Fund Pursuing Recovery of eFishery Investment After Fraud Case

Malaysia's state pension fund Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP) said it invested 163.4 million ringgit in Indonesian agritech startup eFishery for a 2.51% minority stake and is pursuing "all available avenues to maximize recovery of the investment."The statement followed a Bloomberg report that Malaysia's anti-graft agency had launched an investigation into losses linked to KWAP's investment in eFishery.KWAP said the losses stemmed from deliberate financial manipulation at eFishery. The fund noted that co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer Gibran Huzaifah was sentenced to nine years in prison in April for embezzlement and money laundering.The pension fund said it has completed an internal review of the investment and strengthened its private market investment process and portfolio monitoring after the irregularities were uncovered.
