Hankook & Company (KRX:000240) has suspended all lead-acid battery production at its Daejeon plant following a fire at the manufacturing facility on Tuesday.
The shutdown affects 457.8 billion won in annual sales, representing 31.4% of the company's 1.458 trillion won in revenue for the latest fiscal year, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The company is currently investigating the incident and working to contain damage and restore operations, though no resumption date has been set.
