Hamelin Gold (ASX:HMG) completed its expanded second-phase reverse circulation drilling program at its Day Dawn project in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling completed to date confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralization extending from the surface and indicating the potential for a larger gold discovery at depth, the filing said.
Assay results from the phase two reverse circulation drilling will be reported in October, while diamond drilling is expected to start in four weeks, per the filing.
Shares fell 2% in morning trade Monday.
