Halliburton (HAL) has secured integrated drilling and completions contracts for the GranMorgu deepwater development in Block 58, offshore Suriname, operated by TotalEnergies (TTE), the company said on Tuesday.
The GranMorgu development, which will target the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields, is designed with an estimated production capacity of 220,000 barrels of oil per day, it said.
Halliburton aims to enhance well placement accuracy and delivery assurance while lowering the project's total cost of ownership by applying real-time data and remote operations control, according to the statement.
First oil from the development is anticipated in 2028, the company said.
The project marks a significant expansion for Suriname's offshore energy sector, with Halliburton committing to substantial local infrastructure development.
