Haisco Pharmaceutical Gets China Clinical Trial Nod for Migraine Treatment; Shares Rise 4%

Haisco Pharmaceutical (SHE:002653) received clinical trial approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for its self-developed HSK51155 tablets, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

HSK51155 is indicated for pain control for migraines, according to the filing.

In April, Haisco entered into a cooperation agreement allowing AbbVie Group Holdings to develop, manufacture, and commercialize the drug globally except in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, with a potential transaction value topping $700 million, the company said.

Shares rose 4% during the midday break on Friday.
