Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power (SHA:600236) will jointly invest with two related parties on building the 500-megawatt Namor photovoltaic project in Laos.
Total investment is 1.62 billion yuan, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse. The project's pre-tax internal rate of return is estimated at 6.06%.
Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power, with a shareholding ratio of 80%, will need to contribute 389.1 million yuan in cash. Datang Yunnan and Datang Overseas Investment, with respective holdings of 15% and 5%, will contribute 73.0 million yuan and 24.3 million yuan.
Shares of the power company rose 1% in recent trade.
