Greatview Aseptic Packaging Warns of Up to 96% Plunge in H1 Profit

Greatview Aseptic Packaging (HKG:0468) expects net profit of between 3.4 million yuan and 10.2 million yuan for the six months ended June 30, down 88% to 96% from a year prior.

The aseptic packaging solutions provider's revenue is expected to fall by 1.6% to 27% to between 731.8 million yuan and 990.1 million yuan, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The company attributed the profit forecast to a lower revenue and gross margin in the international business.

Additionally, a change in the accounting treatment of the investment interest in Greatview Holdings International and pending application for the relevant information in front of the court led to the inability to recognize a share of investment profit.

Unisplendour to Dilute Stake in Computer Unit to 29.4%; Shares Up 9%

Semiconductor company Unisplendour (SHE:000938) said it will dilute its stake in subsidiary Unisplendour Computer Technology amid a 440-million-yuan capital increase.Unisplendour will waive its pre-emptive subscription rights, reducing its stake to 29.42% from 51%, with the subsidiary exiting consolidation, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.One of the five investors of the capital increase, Haichen Huicai, will acquire a 12% stake in Unisplendour Computer Technology from five existing shareholders before the implementation of the capital increase.Shares of Unisplendour jumped 9% in recent trade.
