Great Atlantic Resources (GR.V) subsidiary Golden Promise Mines has completed the first phase of its 2026 trenching program at its Golden Promise property in Newfoundland, the company said Friday.
The company excavated three trenches within the southwest region of the project, testing an area of multi-element soil geochemical anomalies, including gold anomalies.
Soil samples along one section of the traverse returned anomalous gold values of 44 parts per billion (ppb), 53 ppb and 83 ppb. Some samples returned anomalous values of up to 3.9 parts per million (ppm) for silver, up to 121 ppm for copper, up to 44 ppm for molybdenum, up to 28 ppm for antimon, up to 225 ppm for zinc, up to 172 ppm for arsenic and/or up to 920 ppm for vanadium.
Great Atlantic has submitted rock samples collected at the trench sites for gold and multi-element analysis, the company said.
