Gray Media to Broadcast Charlotte Hornets Games in Seven Regional Markets

Gray Media (GTN) will broadcast Charlotte Hornets games in seven regional markets during the 2026-27 National Basketball Association season under a new broadcast partnership with the team, the Charlotte Hornets said.

Beginning in October, games will air on local stations in six North Carolina and South Carolina markets including Charleston, Columbia, Greenville-New Bern, Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson, Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. Gray will also provide coverage in Roanoke, Virginia.

The games will be available free over the air and through participating cable and satellite providers. Gray will carry them through its local affiliates and the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network, the Charlotte Hornets said.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
