Gold Hydrogen (ASX:GHY) said its three major Japanese investors are escalating their direct engagement with the company's Ramsay project, a natural hydrogen and helium exploration initiative in South Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Senior representatives from Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co. and ENEOS Xplora recently visited the project, while Toyota Motor plans to visit the site this month, per the filing.
Together, the three Japanese parties have invested AU$14.5 million into Gold Hydrogen, establishing strategic relationships for the company across energy, chemicals, hydrogen, and downstream development, it said.
The company has already demonstrated the ability to flow helium to the surface and now aims to demonstrate potential steps to commercialize both natural hydrogen and helium.
Gold Hydrogen shares fell 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
