Godfrey Phillips India (NSE:GODFRYPHLP, BOM:500163) received an ad-hoc on-account insurance payment of 1 billion Indian rupees related to the fire incident at a third-party tobacco processing plant and warehouse in Andhra Pradesh, India, according to an Indian bourse filing on Tuesday.
Shares of the company fell nearly 1% in late Wednesday's trade.
The fire had occurred at a facility in Prakasam district where the company processed and stored its tobacco leaf inventory, the filing said.
