Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Launches Olanzapine for Injection

The US-based unit of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (NSE:GLENMARK, BOM:532296) has launched its Olanzapine for Injection, 10 mg/vial, single-dose vial, according to a Monday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Glenmark's Olanzapine for injection is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to Cheplapharm Registration's reference listed drug, Zyprexa IntraMuscular Injection 10 mg/vial. It is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

According to IQVIA sales data, the Zyprexa IntraMuscular Injection achieved annual sales of around $25.4 million for the 12 months ended May.

The company's shares were up nearly 1% in recent trade.
