Gillette India's (NSE:GILLETTE, BOM:507815) profit rose to 1.93 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, from 1.59 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share came in at 59.08 rupees from 48.70 rupees a year earlier, the personal care products company said in a filing to the Indian stock exchanges on Wednesday.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 also increased to 7.92 billion rupees from 7.67 billion rupees a year ago.
The board of directors recommended a final dividend of 60 rupees per equity share of nominal value of 10 rupees each for
the financial year ended March 31. The dividend will be paid by Sept. 18.
The company's shares were up nearly 6% in recent trade.
