Giantec Semiconductor (SHA:688123) forecasts a 156% surge in its net attributable profit to 525.3 million yuan from 205.2 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The integrated circuit manufacturer expects operating revenue to rise 4.7% to 601.9 million yuan from 574.9 million yuan a year earlier.
Research and development investment is expected to increase nearly 26% to 129.1 million yuan from 102.7 million yuan in the first half of 2025.
Giantec attributes the growth to a surge in automotive and industrial control chips, offsetting the fluctuations in the personal computer and smartphone markets.
Shares of the integrated circuit manufacturer were down 3% in afternoon trading on Wednesday.
