Gevo (GEVO) and Praj Industries entered an agreement to commercialize bio-isobutanol technology in India, with Praj receiving exclusive commercialization rights in the country, the companies said Wednesday.
The partnership targets Bio-IBA opportunities, particularly diesel blending, building on more than a decade of collaboration to adapt the technology for Indian feedstocks and market needs, the companies said.
Praj is separately establishing India's first commercial Bio-IBA demonstration plant for an oil marketing company, using Gevo's licensed technology to validate production, supply-chain and market development pathways, they added.
Gevo shares were down 2.9% in early Wednesday trading.
