Gevo (GEVO) said Monday it made further progress on a debottlenecking project at its North Dakota facility in Richardton, including the commissioning of a new beer degassing system ahead of schedule to capture and sequester additional carbon dioxide.
The company said the project is expected to improve facility output and returns by 10% to 15%. The upgrades also include a third liquefaction tank and a fifth fermenter to increase production capacity for ethanol and carbon dioxide.
Construction of the liquefaction and fermentation upgrades remains on schedule, with both expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
