Genscript Associate Reports Promising Phase 1 Data for LB2501 in B-Cell Lymphoma

Genscript Biotech (HKG:1548) said its Nasdaq-listed associate Legend Biotech established clinical proof-of-concept for LB2501 in a type of blood cancer, according to a Sunday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

According to results from an ongoing phase 1 trial presented at the annual European Hematology Association Congress, the drug achieved a 100% objective response rate at the higher dose level in the six subjects enrolled in the study with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

LB2501 also showed a favorable safety profile with no dose-limiting toxicities, the firm said.

Shares of Genscript fell almost 9% in late morning trade on Monday.
