General Dynamics (GD) Canada will build and deliver 190 additional Armoured Combat Support Vehicles to the Canadian government under a nearly C$2 billion ($1.4 billion), four-year deal, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Thursday.
The agreement will expand Canada's fleet from 360 to 550 vehicles, according to the statement.
The vehicles will be designed, built, and assembled in Canada at GDLS-Canada's facility in London, Ontario, drawing on more than 600 Canadian suppliers across the country, the statement said.
The partnership is expected to create or sustain more than 6,000 jobs annually over the next eight years.
