Geely Automobile's (HKG:0175) Swedish arm, Volvo Cars, introduced new variants of its XC60 and XC90 sport utility vehicles for the European and American markets, according to a Tuesday press release from Volvo.
The new models have long electric ranges, with the new XC60 delivering up to 200 kilometers while the new XC90 provides up to 160 kilometers. Their electric range is over two and a half times as high as on the existing plug-in hybrid variants.
Drivers can interact with the car with the help of an artificial intelligence-powered assistant, Google Gemini.
