GE Vernova T&D India (NSE:GET&D, BOM:522275) board approved an investment of 550 million Indian rupees to establish a manufacturing plant for disconnectors and specialized control drives used in 362 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers, according to an Indian bourse filing on Monday.
Shares of the company fell nearly 2% in Tuesday's trade.
The new facility will be located in Vallam, Tamil Nadu, the filing said. The project will be funded through internal accruals, it added.
Commercial production is expected to begin by December in a phased manner, the company said.
